For insecticide resistance management Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide is a Group 1B insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide and other Group 1B Insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide or other Group 1B insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since the occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, FMC accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide to control resistant insects. Fyfanon 440 EW Insecticide may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. Protection of wildlife, fish, crustaceans and environment

DO NOT apply under meteorological conditions or from spraying equipment which could be expected to cause spray to drift onto adjacent areas, particularly wetlands, waterbodies or watercourses. Dangerous to fish and aquatic invertebrates. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

Safety Directions

Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Repeated minor exposure may have a cumulative poisoning effect. Obtain an emergency supply of atropine tablets 0.6 mg. Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale spray mist. When opening the container, preparing spray and using the product wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat and elbow length PVC gloves. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day's use wash gloves and contaminated clothing.

Storage

Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.

Disposal

Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

Precaution

Avoid contact with food, food utensils, or places where food is prepared or stored.

Re-entry Period

DO NOT allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. When prior entry is necessary, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.
